Plus in regards to your post before about her not being a petite brunette - she’ll be gone by the time you get to SNL anyway! or at the most, a sr cast member. There’s still lots of room on the roster for Lauren Bancroft!

There have been moments where I see her value, but I believe she has been promoted way too quickly (especially over the talent of other featured players) and was selected for the show based more so on her family history and who she was sleeping with. This may not be true 100% true, no one knows but Lorne and Marci Klein… BUT
my issue with Abby Elliot is that in everything she does on the show she is a pretty girl in a dress saying girly things. Whereas with Tina, Amy, Kristen, Molly, Ana, Gilda, etc, its always been comedy first. The show is about taking risks, getting dirty and getting the laughs. Abby would never be a “target lady” or a “mary katherine gallagher” or a “debbie downer” because they aren’t as flattering as being a disney princess. dont get me wrong that sketch was funny. but i dont find her willing to take any risks or put herself out there in the name of comedy which is ridiculous considering the opportunities she gets every week that millions of female comedians would kill for…

I think the thing I’m most excited for with Kate McKinnon joining the SNL cast is that there will FINALLY be another woman who regards laughter as having more weight than good looks
